Strata Properties & Property Managers
Tree Management Plans
An assessment of all trees on the subject property (or any designated portion thereof).
- To provide an inventory, mapped location as well as an evaluation of the health and structural condition.
- Accompanying recommendations for any appropriate treatments such as pruning for building or roadway clearance.
- Prioritization of recommended treatments to facilitate strata council / property manager implementation and budget preparation.
Tree Care & Maintenance
Generally undertaken as annual maintenance program, but can be adjusted to suit specific objectives.
- Pruning
Treatments based on proper arboricultural practices and conducted with care to develop a strong, attractive structure that reduces the risk of damage such as broken branches and split stems. - Restoration Pruning to correct structure and shape due to damage from poor pruning practices or breakage which can severely degrade a trees condition and aesthetic value.
- Clearance Pruning to correctly prune back and train away from buildings, roadways, parking areas, pathways, adjacent trees, etc.
- Crown Thinning to strengthen form, increase resilience to disease through better light and air penetration and generally improve aesthetics.
- Crown Cleaning to remove diseased and dead wood that can otherwise deteriorate the health of the tree, be a source of infection/infestation that can spread to other trees, and pose a safety hazard.
- Pruning to meet other specified objectives such as increased light or views.

Continuous Management
As part of the annual maintenance program, the trees on the property are under ongoing review and assessment to identify disease and other health issues as well as potential structural problems that can pose a safety hazard.
This continual assessment is effectively achieved during the review of each tree's condition that is conducted for annual pruning.
Tree Replacement
- Recommendations for replacement where retention may no longer be a feasible option.
- Provide recommendations for tree species appropriate for the available growing space and other relevant issues.
